Westover School is delighted to announce that Nicole Graev Lipson will be the Graduation speaker for the Class of 2025

Nicole is the author of the forthcoming memoir-in-essays Mothers and Other Fictional Characters (March 2025), an intimate and riveting exploration that challenges the conventional narratives of womanhood, uncovering deep truths from the fiction woven into our lives.

A passionate advocate for all-girls education, Nicole is a proud graduate of The Chapin School in NYC. She shares, “No community has shaped who I am and my path through the world more than Chapin. I feel so strongly about all-girls education and have much to say on the topics of girlhood and womanhood, so this feels like a wonderful match.”
Nicole holds a BA from Cornell University and an MFA from Emerson College. Her celebrated work has appeared in The Sun, Creative Nonfiction, Fourth Genre, LA Review of Books, The Millions, Nylon, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, and more. Her writing has been selected for The Best American Essays anthology and shortlisted for a National Magazine Award. We are honored to welcome Nicole Graev Lipson to inspire the Class of 2025 and our community at this year’s Commencement.

Important Move-Out and Parking Information

As you plan your student's departure, please review the notes below to ensure a smooth and efficient move-out process:

- Westover Way and South Street spots along the wall will be closed to all vehicles until 1 pm on June 1. At 1:00 p.m. after the Graduation Ceremony ends, Westover Way and South Street spots will open for temporary move-out parking only. Families who will not be attending the day's ceremony should plan to arrive after 2:00 p.m.

- If you are loading your vehicle on Westover Way, please pull all the way up to the designated spot where directed. One driver must stay with the vehicle at all times. Adults and student leaders will be available to assist with the moving of belongings to speed up the process.

- Temporary parking will also be available on South Street for students living in the west part of the dormitory. One driver must stay with the vehicle at all times on South Street as well.

- In order to ensure a smooth move-out for all of our students, it is imperative that before pulling into a temporary parking spot, the boarding student be completely packed and items are ready to be loaded into the vehicle. Vehicles that are not being actively loaded may be asked to relocate until the student is ready.

- Before departing campus with your student, please make sure they have checked out with a member of the Residential Life staff.

- If your student will be traveling on their own at the conclusion of the school year via Westover-coordinated transportation or another host pick-up, they will be picked up in Chapel Circle and should be prepared with all of their items to load into the vehicle at their designated pick-up time.

- All students must check out in person with a member of the Residential Life staff prior to departing campus.

-Please see the map above for all parking available.
