Academic Achievements


Westover welcomes the following new members to its faculty and staff for the 2021-2022 academic year:

Victoria Bosse, PsyD, LMFT
Title: Director of Counseling
Pronouns: She/Her
Background: BS - Family Studies - UConn; MA - Family Therapy - UConn; Doctorate of Psychology - Family Therapy - Alliant International Univ (San Diego, CA)

Victoria joins the Westover community as the Director of Counseling and will be working in the Health and Wellness Center. From Middlebury, Victoria previously served as the Clinical Director at Perspectives Center for Care in Connecticut.

“I am thrilled to support the students, families, faculty, and staff at Westover (and) to partner with the community in meaningful ways to enhance social-emotional curriculum and mental health and wellness initiatives,” she said. 

A fun Westover connection Victoria has?

“I attended Preschool and Kindergarten on the Westover campus when I was a kid,” she said. 


Brad Brown
Title: Director of Leadership and Planned Giving
Pronouns: He/Him/His
Background: Bucknell University/Political Science and Philosophy

Brad joins the Alumnae and Development Office as the Director of Leadership and Planned Giving. Previously the Executive Director of Advancement at Sacred Heart University, Brad joins the Westover community along with wife, Chelsea, who will be a dorm faculty member, and two children, Parker (age 4) and Maisie (16 months).

“I am most excited to learn about the most special qualities of Westover that inspire students, alumnae, families and our community to connect and stay connected,” Brad said.

A fun fact about Brad?

“I am a massive Cleveland sports fan,” he said.


Chelsea Burghoff Brown
Title: Residential Life: Faculty Dorm Member and Sophomore Class Dean
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Background: BA - Economics from Bucknell University

Originally from Windsor, CT Chelsea joins the Westover community as a dorm faculty member working with the Residential Life team and as Sophomore Class Dean. She is joined by her husband, Brad, who will be working in the Alumnae and Development Office as the Director of Leadership and Planned Giving, and children, Parker (age 4) and Maisie (16 months).

“I am thrilled to be taking the next step in my career working with the wonderful women of Westover,” Chelsea said. “I am most excited to build relationships with the students on corridor and the members of the sophomore class, and to  support each student in her overall growth and development.”

A fun fact about Chelsea? She often dreams in black and white.


Katherine Brink
Title: Director of Admissions
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Background: BA - Franklin & Marshall College, MA - Middlebury College

Previously serving as a Development Officer at Wesleyan University, Katherine joins the vibrant Westover Admissions team and will serve as the Director of Admissions. 

Having worked at Miss Porters and attended an all-girls school herself, Katherine is excited to share her passion for all-girls education. 

“I feel privileged to be charged with recruiting talented, passionate, and driven girls to Westover where they can thrive,” she said. 


Rodney Fisher
Title: Science Instructor
Pronouns: Fish
Background: BSc - University of Stellenbosch, Stellenbosch, WC South Africa; MEd (HDE) University of the Western Cape, Bellville, WC South Africa; MSc; Eastern Michigan University

Rodney comes to Westover after working at Holy Innocents Episcopal School in Atlanta, and will be working in the Science Department as a Science Instructor. A graduate of the Spes Bona Boys High School in Cape Town, South Africa, Rodney brings in more than 25 years of experience and a highly-decorated background in coaching tennis. 

“Teaching is my passion and with the talent and commitment of the students at Westover, I’m looking forward to making a significant contribution to the school,” he said.

Outside of teaching, Rodney is the President of the Rodney Fisher Foundation Inc. which promotes better health, hygiene, and sanitation amongst the youth in under-served communities.

According to the Foundation's mission statement, “We aim to campaign for a quality in education and fight against drug abuse, malnutrition, gender-based violence, and unwanted pregnancy.”


Cristin Gordon
Title:  Executive Assistant and Dance Faculty
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Background: Gordon College, BA Theatre Arts

Cristin, who has been with Westover for five years working with the Dance Program, enters her first year as Executive Assistant in the Head of School’s Office.

“I’m excited to participate in Westover community events and meet the incoming students,” Cristin said.

Outside of Westover, she’s been a volunteer firefighter for the town of Southbury for 13 years. 


Sydney Kadiyala
Title: Director of Women In Science and Engineering Program (WISE)
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Background: Manhattan College, BA

Sydney joins the Westover community as the new Director of The Women In Science and Engineering Program. From Dobbs Ferry, NY, Sydney previously worked at The Masters School where she was a physics teacher and dorm parent. In her spare time she enjoys drawing and watching anime.

“I am excited to be directing a program that is part of such an amazing and welcoming community,” Sydney said. “What makes me most excited is getting to know the student body.” 


Tianna Lall
Title: Associate Director of College Counseling
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Background: Wheaton College, MA and BA in Creative Writing & Literature; Teachers College, Columbia University, MA in International Educational Development

Tianna joins the Westover College Counseling Department as the Associate Director of College Counseling. From Brooklyn, Tianna comes to Westover after working at Suffolk University.

“I am very excited to get to know the student body and be an active member of the Westover community,” she said.

Outside of work, Tianna is an avid traveler and has visited more than 40 countries. 


Susan Perry, PhD, MSW, LCSW
Title: Assistant Head of School for Student Life
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Background: Smith College, Walden University, Arizona State, and American University

A native to the New England area, Susan brings in a plethora of experience as she will serve as Westover’s Assistant Head of School for Student Life. Susan comes to Westover previously serving as the Assistant Head of School for Student Affairs at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, NC, a K-12 day school, and before that was Director of Counseling and Co-Chair of Residential Life and Health at Asheville School, a 9-12 boarding school in Asheville. She is currently a senior consultant for EXPLO Elevate, a global innovative independent schools’ cooperative. 

“I look forward to welcoming colleagues, students, and families back to campus,” she said. “I am a relational, interdependent educational leader who thrives at the nexus of campus life. It’s been inspiring to work with the leadership team colleagues since May.” 


Nicole Ruschmeyer
Title: Coordinator of the Learning Center
Pronouns: She/Her
Background: B.A. Curry College

Coming to Westover from the South Kent School, Nicole will be joining Westover’s Academic Department working as the Coordinator of the Learning Center.

“I am looking forward to getting to know and work with the students and faculty,” she said.

Nicole, who is from Brookfield, CT, said a fun fact about herself is she knows how to fight with swords. 


Eera Sharma
Title: Language Department Chair and Spanish Instructor
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Background: Mount Holyoke College; Middlebury College, MA 

Eera joins the Westover community as a Spanish instructor and will serve as the Language Department Head. From Farmington, CT, Eera previously worked at Choate Rosemary Hall.

“I am excited to be joining the Westover community this Fall (and) I am thrilled to be the next Department Head and look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to best serve the school and the students,” she said. “I have been both impressed and grateful for the warm welcome and genuine kindness that are so evident in every interaction I have had so far with my new colleagues.”

One fun fact about Eera? She’s a big fan of Japanese nail art. 


Bryce Shattie
Title: Math Instructor and Softball Coach
Pronouns: He/Him/His
Background: University of Vermont,  B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Geography

Originally from Hartford, CT, Bryce has been part of the Westover community for several years living on campus with wife, Sara Reid, who serves as Westover's Athletic Director. Previously a pilot, Bryce will join the Math Department as a Math Instructor and continue to coach softball.

“(I’m looking forward to) working with a diverse group of students and getting back to in-person learning,” Bryce said.

Prior to Westover, Bryce flew C-130’s in the Air Force Reserve


Meredith Whitehouse
Title: English Instructor
Pronouns: She/Her
Background: Barnard College, Columbia University, BA; Wesleyan University, MALS

Meredith, who grew up in Waterbury, CT, will join the English Department as an English Instructor. A graduate of Choate Rosemary Hall, Meredith comes to Westover previously working at Packer Collegiate Institute in NY.

“I am excited to see what it’s like to be in such a small and connected academic community,” she said.

A fun fact about Meredith? She officiated her first wedding this Summer. 


Rachel Wortherley
Title: English Instructor
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Background: Iona College, BA and MA in English

From the Bronx, Rachel joins the Westover community as an English Instructor, previously working at Saint Elizabeth School in New York.

“I am super excited about getting to know the young women of Westover, working with members of the faculty, and experiencing all that Westover has to offer,” Rachel said.

A fun fact about Rachel?

“I was a member of the New York Film Festival Critics Academy in 2016,” she said.
