The Westover Pond and Pond House are iconic locations known to all Westover students. Nestled near the edge of the woods on the eastern side of campus, the pond has always been an active location throughout the school’s history.
Alumnae often fondly recall the Pond in memories such as broom hockey, enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows on winter weekends, gathering data for studies of underwater invertebrates in science classes, painting pictures or taking photos for art classes, and racing cardboard boats across the pond.
As the starting point of many of the trails through the Westover’s Woods, the Pond has always been a wonderful spot to rest, reflect and enjoy the nature available to us on campus.
