Westover believes that a quality athletic program is an integral part of the educational process.
We strive to develop the unique potential of each student-athlete and we are dedicated to helping students develop a positive self-image, confidence, leadership, and a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.
What separates our athletic program from most is our proven ability to not only combine, but sustain, a competitive edge and a focus on sportsmanship. One of the reasons for our successes is that our coaching staff is mainly comprised of our faculty members, providing a well-balanced approach to coaching and education. Our coaches recognize that the athletic program provides a powerful forum for discovering and creating "teaching moments." It is through these moments that we foster respect, confidence, teamwork, community, and self-esteem. The more "teaching moments" that we create, the further we develop the skills and character of our student-athletes. These are among the qualities that will help them throughout the rest of their lives.
We have created a program that benefits everyone involved and we encourage you to visit campus to see the program in action.
