We gathered on Monday, September 4, 2023 for Convocation, marking the start of the 2023-2024 academic school at Westover. Head of School Polly Fredlund reflected on this school year's theme of Illuminate sharing, "Together we can brighten our community and the world with light, with creativity and curiosity, music and stories, hope and justice. We can solve big problems and make a positive impact. We know that your voice matters, and the world is a better place when your ideas, spirit, and ferocity help us move beyond our past to a brighter future."

Westover's Convocation also included remarks from student speaker Amy ’24 who reflected on the power of making mistakes and trying new things. Director of Academic Services Shamair Todman was the faculty speaker, sharing her love of music and hip-hop singing lyrics from the song “The Light” by Common.
