  • Why all-girls?

    A girls-centered education at Westover provides an empowering environment where students are encouraged to lead, explore their passions, and grow academically without the limitations of gender stereotypes. At Westover, students develop the confidence to take risks, engage deeply in subjects such as STEM and the humanities, and build strong relationships within a diverse global community.
  • How do I register for a campus visit?

    Please contact our Admission team at admission@westoverschool.org or 203-577-2423, and we’ll be delighted to assist you in scheduling a campus tour or interview. Additionally, if you're interested in experiencing what a day at Westover is like, we can arrange a shadow day for you to attend classes and fully immerse yourself in the life of a Westover student. We look forward to welcoming you!
  • Where can I submit an application for admission to Westover School?

    Prospective applicants are welcome to apply for admission consideration to Westover by submitting an application through the Standard Application Online (SAO).
  • When is the application due?

    The admissions application deadline is January 15. Applications submitted past the January 15 deadline are reviewed on a rolling basis.
  • Any advice on what I can do in the admissions process to maximize my chances of being admitted to Westover?

    Our best advice? Be your true, authentic self. Whether you’re writing your application essays, sitting for your interview, or visiting our campus, we want to see the real you. If you're feeling nervous or shy, that's perfectly okay. If you're proud of your accomplishments and want to boast them, go for it—you’ve earned that right! Whether you have a passion for one subject or a dislike for another, we embrace your honesty. The most important thing is that you show up unapologetically as you are because that’s exactly who we want to get to know.
  • How do I begin the admissions process for Westover?

    The first step is to fill out the Westover School Inquiry Form. Once we have received your inquiry, a member of the Admission team will reach out to your family to make that initial connection. We will help guide you through the process of applying to our school, visiting campus for a tour and/or classroom visit, and scheduling your admission interview.
  • Are interviews required as part of the admission process? Who conducts them? What can I expect in an interview?

    Yes! The interview is one of the most exciting and essential parts of the admission process. It’s a required step in your application, giving you a unique opportunity to sit down with a member of our Admission team. We’ll cover various topics during the interview—from your favorite classes to your go-to late-night snack! This is your moment to shine and showcase who you are, what drives you, and why you feel Westover is the perfect place for you.
  • Does Westover require the SSAT?

    You are more than just a test score - because of this, Westover does not require the SSAT for admission consideration.
  • How diverse is the student body on campus? How does the school foster community, inclusivity, and cultural understanding?

    Westover's student body is diverse, with representation from over 20 different countries and states.   • Does Westover offer financial aid? If so, how do I apply, and how is financial aid eligibility determined?

    Westover is proud to offer need-based financial aid to those students with a demonstrated financial need. Families can apply for Financial Aid using the Clarity Application. We then use this application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information families provide, including assets, income, expenses, and debts.
